Barbara Medine Deluty, Ph.D. joined the Center in 2005. Dr. Deluty is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than twenty years practice experience with adolescents and adults. She is a skilled general, addiction and trauma psychologist who has special expertise in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with mental illness and substance abuse. She provides individual, group, couples, and family therapy and has unique practice experience with psychotic and trauma-related mood and anxiety disorders.

Dr. Deluty completed her doctoral training in clinical psychology from the University of Miami in 1984. This included a one-year predoctoral APA accredited internship at Springfield Hospital Center in Sykesville, Maryland. She held a number of clinical positions at Springfield Hospital Center after her training before being appointed the Director of its Addiction and Trauma Recovery Service in 2000. She has also had an active private practice with adolescents, adults and families since 1988. Dr. Deluty is able to provide comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for most psychiatric disorders and specialized services for addiction, trauma, legal problems, and disordered eating. She is married and has two children.
