Adult Psychiatry

Dr. Pham is a board-certified general adult and consultation-liaison psychiatrist with experience in geriatric psychiatry. She has a particular interest in psychiatric oncology and transplant psychiatry, but ultimately, wishes to provide support to those with psychiatric concerns who have medical conditions (though anyone is welcomed, regardless of medical history); all while developing a treatment plan with her clients that is humanistic and is sensitive to their personal history, current environment, and cultural influences, going beyond just pharmacology.

Dr. Pham completed all of her higher education and training in Maryland, earning an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and a medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her general psychiatry training from the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Residency and continued her training at the University of Maryland for consultation-liaison psychiatry fellowship--a psychiatric subspecialty focusing on the complex interplay between mental and physical health.

After fellowship Dr. Pham joined the Sheppard Pratt health system on the inpatient geriatric psychiatric unit. Her work at that time was focused on helping patients aged 65+ with psychiatric conditions as well as those who were facing emotional and behavioral changes that can accompany neurocognitive disorders (i.e. dementia).

Dr. Pham lives locally and enjoys dabbling in various hobbies in a very casual, noncommittal fashion.

Dr. pham’s Approach

Dr. Pham’s work is shaped by a deep understanding that mental health does not exist in isolation. Her background in consultation-liaison psychiatry allows her to thoughtfully navigate the emotional complexities that often accompany medical diagnoses, life transitions, and changes in physical health.

Her clinical experience across hospital and outpatient settings has reinforced her belief that effective care is collaborative. She values working alongside patients, families, and other healthcare providers when appropriate, ensuring that treatment feels cohesive and supportive rather than fragmented.
