Clinical & Developmental Psychology
Dr. Laura Margolis joined the MCP in 1997 and is a licensed psychologist with over 30 years of postdoctoral clinical experience. She is a highly skilled general clinical and pediatric neuropsychologist with specialized expertise in the treatment of pervasive developmental disorders, learning and attention deficit disorders, and mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Margolis provides individual, group, and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Margolis completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1991 and earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The American University in 1992. She went on to complete a two year clinical neuropsychology fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC in 1993. Following her training, she worked for four years as a pediatric neuropsychologist at Children’s National Medical Center and served as a faculty member at George Washington University.
Dr. Margolis offers specialized treatment services for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental and socialization challenges. Her clinical work is informed by extensive training and experience in neuropsychology and evidence based therapeutic practices.
