Therapy
Macqueen joined MCP in 2019 and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults. She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and a range of other mental health concerns. Her work is guided by a genuine passion for helping patients recognize their strengths, explore new possibilities, and find joy and meaning in everyday life.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Gettysburg College in 1988 and later completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1995. Her professional background includes experience within the University of Maryland Medical System, as well as work on the child and adolescent team at the Carruthers Clinic, a community mental health clinic. She also previously served as a social worker with BARC Foster Care, supporting children and families through complex transitions.
Her clinical experience across medical, community, and foster care settings has shaped a thoughtful and compassionate approach to therapy. She is particularly attentive to the developmental needs of children and adolescents and values creating a safe, supportive space where young people can build confidence, resilience, and emotional insight.
Outside of the office, Macqueen lives locally with her husband and 2 teenage daughters.
